2004 GMC Sierra Owner's Manual

GMC Sierra has only one power unit, which is a V6 configuration. With an operating volume of 4.3 liters, it produces 195 horsepower. All other engines are V8s, with displacement from 4.8 to 6.2 liters. Accordingly, their power indicators are in wide enough range – from 295 to 403 hp. But the biggest Sierra engine is a 6.6-liter turbodiesel unit of Duramax family with 365 hp. The engines can run with both four-speed and six-speed automatic transmissions.

General Motors also produces a hybrid version of the Sierra pickup with a total power output of 332 hp at 5100 rpm and torque equal to 367 Nm at 4,100 rpm.
