Engines

The engine lineup of the new Volkswagen Jetta starts with a 1.6-liter gasoline engine rated at 102 hp, which is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Alternatively, the 2.0-liter FSI engine with FSI injection delivers 150 hp. The 2.0 FSI engine is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox or 6-speed automatic Tiptronic.

For the followers of tractive, but economical power units the diesel engine range of the last generation is available – created on TDI technology. This is a 105-horsepower 1,9 TDI engine, which is standardly equipped with a 5-speed manual gearbox. There is an option to install the latest DSG transmission. Turbo Diesel 2.0 TDI, rated at 140 hp, is available both with 6-speed manual gearbox and DSG.
