The running gear of the MINI Van Countryman is similar to the other MINI models, comprising a front axle with McPherson struts, a multi-lever rear suspension and an EPS electric power steering system that changes the degree of gain depending on driving speed.

To optimise active safety, the MINI One Countryman is equipped with Dynamic Stability Control DSC, which includes the anti-lock braking system, EBD electronic brake force distribution, CBC cornering brake control, brake assist and hill-start assist.
