The Volkswagen Golf (Volkswagen Golf) is a front-wheel drive C-class hatchback. The world premiere of the seventh generation model took place in early September 2012 at the National Gallery in Berlin.

The Golf VII is built on a modular platform MQB (Modularen Querbaukasten), in which engineers of the German company have put all their knowledge and realized a lot of ideas. Especially concerning the body, which had to be made almost 100 kg lighter. For this purpose a share of high-strength steels in its design was increased up to 80%. At the same time it reduced drag coefficient from 0,31 to 0,27.
