2011 Volkswagen Scirocco Owner's Manual
Cars with a coupe body can rarely boast a capacious luggage compartment. Scirocco is not an exception, but if you fold the rear seats, the volume of cargo area increases from 292 to 755 liters, and the Germans equipped the car with a special grid to avoid cargo moving around the compartment.
Powertrain lineup of Volkswagen Scirocco is extensive. The most modest engine stands 1.4-liter gasoline TSI capacity of 122 hp, dispersing coupe to 100 km / h in 9.7 seconds at an average consumption of 6.1 liters per 100 kilometers. More powerful motors with a turbo-charging (160 and 200 hp) “eat” 6,5-7,5 liters. The Germans offer fans of diesel units a 140-horsepower “4” with a torque of 320 Nm. Thus, the diesel needs only 5.4 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers on a mixed cycle, and up to “hundred” it accelerates the Scirocco in 9.3 seconds. Basic for all engines is a 6-speed manual transmission. A 6-speed DSG can be ordered only with a 200-horsepower gasoline engine and a 7-speed – only with a 160-horsepower gasoline engine.
