2012 Ford F-150 Owner's Manual

The results of the crash-tests, conducted by the independent American association NHTSA showed that F-150 SuperCab falls short of the highest marks for safety. However, even in basic version, the pickup is equipped with front and side airbags, anti-lock brakes (ABS) and electronic system of dynamic stabilization.

Under the hood of the Ford F-150 SuperCab can be installed one of the four engines – two V6 (3.5 and 3.7 liters) and two V8 (5.0 and 6.2 liters). The weakest unit produces 302 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 377 Nm at 4,000 rpm, and the most powerful – 411 hp of power and 588 Nm of torque. All engines are mated exclusively to a six-speed automatic transmission.

Since its debut in 1948, Ford F-150 has sold out almost thirty million copies. The car is produced in two plants in the U.S. (Missouri and Michigan), as well as at plants in Venezuela, where the pickup is sold under the name F-250, and Mexico.
