Mazda 6 wagon is based on the platform of the second generation model, but Japanese engineers significantly upgraded it, replacing the front double wishbone suspension on McPherson struts, lengthening the wheelbase by 105 mm, and shifting the front axle by 100 mm forward. In addition, engineers almost completely changed the design of the body, using a lot of high-strength steel, due to which it became lighter and more durable. The truck got larger than its predecessor – 4865 mm in length, 1840 mm in width and 1460 mm in height.

Depending on the configuration, Mazda 6 can be equipped with a system of tracking “dead zones”, the technology of controlling the movement of the occupied lane, an assistant when starting on a hill, the system of forced braking in case of an obstacle detection, the function of automatic switching of high beam to low beam, the system of recuperation of braking energy and other innovative technologies.
