2013 Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid Owner's Manual

The main difference between the version with the prefix Plug-in from the usual hybrid Prius, in addition to the fact that it is equipped with a connector for charging batteries (including from the home network, which takes only an hour and a half), are these same batteries. The engineers of the Japanese company have replaced them from nickel-metal hydride to lithium-ion – more efficient. This also explains the fact that on one liter of gasoline Plug-in Hybrid is able to travel twice as far as the regular Prius.
