Technically, the restyled Kia Cerato didn’t surprise at all. It is constructed, as before, on a platform with McPherson struts in front and semi-independent beam in back. The manufacturer has not informed about any changes of suspension settings, steering and other. The length of the sedan is 4560 mm, width is 1780 mm and height is 1435 mm. Distance between the axles – 2700 mm, which allowed organizing a fairly spacious for cars of this class interior space.

The engine range KIA Cerato consists of three units – 1.6-liter gasoline, giving 130 horsepower, 2-liter gasoline with 152 “horsepower”, as well as a 1.6-liter turbocharged diesel and 136 horsepower. The above mentioned engines can be coupled with both a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed automatic transmission.

In the U.S. the KIA Cerato is sold under the name Forte, and in Korea the sedan is known under the index K3. The car is produced at the KIA plant in the South Korean city of Hwasung, as well as in Mexico.
