Buyers can order one of four TSI engine options ranging from 122 to 200 hp or one of three TDI turbodiesels with 110, 140 or 170 hp. Depending on the type and power, the Volkswagen Tiguan engine will be paired to a six-speed “manual” or a robotized seven-speed DSG transmission with two clutches. Also a choice of front-wheel drive or branded all-wheel drive transmission 4Motion is offered. In addition, fans of active off-road “drive” can choose normal or “off-road” dodger, which differs bumpers and the presence of additional elements that protect the body from damage when driving on rough terrain.

The Volkswagen Tiguan interior features an updated steering wheel, dashboard and center console, as well as new upholstery materials and colors.
