2016 Cadillac Cts Owner's Manual

Continuing to talk about technology, we must say that the engineers of Cadillac, leaving the scheme of suspension sedan CTS-V the same (McPherson in the front and multilever behind), have revised their geometry. In addition, the front silent blocks were replaced with zero-suspension ball joints, transverse stabilizers added 20% in strength, springs were reconfigured for tighter travel, adaptive shock absorbers with magnetorheological fluid work 40% faster. The ZF electric booster with variable capacity has also undergone retuning, so as to make the steering as “sharp” as possible.
The Cadillac CTS-V Sedan is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 compressor-based petrol engine, delivering 649 hp and 855 Nm of torque. Powered by an 8-speed automatic GM 8L90 gearbox with manual mode and a shortened ratio between steps (engineers say the shift speed is the same as the pre-selective “robot”). The 1,880-pound car can accelerate from a standing start to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and is limited to a top speed of 322 km/h.
