There are some changes in the engine lineup of Ford Explorer 2016 after restyling. In place of the old 2-liter engine took 2.3-liter EcoBoost, producing 274 hp of power and 406 Nm of torque. This engine is familiar to Ford’s Mustang fans, but de-energized. In addition, under the hood of the Explorer is installed one of the two V6 engines with a working volume of 3.6 liters – Ti-VCT and EcoBoost. All engines are paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.

The appearance of the legendary Ford Explorer has added dynamics, it has more features typical of the latest generations of Ford vehicles. Still recognizable, the “fifth” Explorer is more compact than the “fourth”, but wider “in the shoulders” and in the “head” area.
