2016 Ford F-150 Owner's Manual
Most interesting in 2016 Ford F-150 – the engine lineup. Yes, yes, under the hood there is the greatest number of changes compared to the restyling. So, a new V6 engine with the volume of 3.3 liters came to replace the base atmospheric 3.5. Although the power remained the same (282 hp), the manufacturer claims improved fuel economy. But of course this is not all, the former V6 2.7 EcoBoost (275 hp) received a combined injection system. And in addition to the twin-turbo 3.5 EcoBoost (375 hp), its boosted 450 hp version from the Raptor is available now. Atmospheric V8 5.0 has also increased in performance – 395 “horses” instead of 385 hp before. Even more interesting innovations of this update are the new 3-liter diesel Power Stroke (available as an option) and 10-speed automatic combined with 2.7, 3.5 EcoBoost and 5.0 engines. With the 3.3 engine, the classic six-speed torque converter will still work. With such a range the “trach” must become more dynamic and much more economical. Recall that the thirteenth generation, although still built on a steel frame, already has almost entirely aluminum body.
