The GMC Canyon Extended Cab is powered by one of two engines – a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 193 horsepower and 253 Nm of torque, or a 3.6-liter V6 with 302 “horses” and 366 Nm. In 2016, the 2.8-liter turbodiesel will be added to the range, producing 180 hp and 470 Nm of torque. As for the gearbox, it can be either a 6-speed manual or a 6-band automatic.

While the first-generation Canyon was an exact copy of the Chevrolet Colorado, the pickup has significantly moved away from its twin brother. At least, it has its own front end, and many other body parts. If to compare Canyon with other cars, it became more like GMC Sierra, which, certainly, did it good.
