Even in basic version Beetle Cabrio can boast electric package, front and side airbags, electronic stabilization system, which includes ABS and other systems, audio system with MP3 support and other equipment. In more expensive versions, of course, the level of technical and aesthetic equipment is significantly expanded.

There are five power-units in Volkswagen Beetle Cabrio engine range, both petrol TSI and diesel TDI. The base is the 1.2-liter gasoline engine that produces 105 hp and is available in the “green” BlueMotion version. Further in the petrol lineup are 1.4-liter and 2-liter engines producing 160 and 200 “horses” respectively. Diesel versions are presented with 1.6-liter 150-horsepower motor and 2-liter 140-horsepower unit. Engines are paired with 5- or 6-speed manual gearboxes, as well as with 6- or 7-speed “robot” DSG.
