2017 Lincoln Mkz Owner's Manual

The basis of the Lincoln MKZ is the same CD4 platform, which is used by Ford Fusion and Mondeo – with McPherson struts in front suspension and multilever design in the rear. But it does not mean the running gear is just copied. The MKZ has different mounting points of subframes and arms, tuned elastokinematics, springs with other characteristics, electronically controlled shock absorbers and so on.
Lincoln MKZ engine range includes three power units. The base one is 2,0-liter in-line “four” EcoBoost, giving 240 hp of capacity and 366 Nm of torque, and the top unit – 3,7-liter V6 with intake phase shifters and three hundred “horses” in spare. Wedged between these two engines is a hybrid version of the sedan, equipped with a 188-horsepower 2-liter gasoline motor and a 35-kW electric motor. All power-units, thus, work only with 6-speed automatic transmission, and as to fuel consumption, in base equipment MKZ “eats” 10,7 liters of gasoline in a city and 7,1 – on a freeway.
