In the basic package Toyota Hilux includes ABS, and as an option is available system stability, brake force distribution, emergency brake booster and other equipment.
Powertrain lineup of Toyota Hilux Extra Cab consists of two turbo-diesel engines, which meet Euro-5 environmental standards. The 2.5-liter 144 hp unit develops 343 Nm of torque at 3,600 rpm and consumes 7.3 liters of fuel per 100 km in the combined cycle. The second engine, 3-liter, gives 171 hp. Hilux has two transmissions: 2.5-liter engine has 5-speed manual and 3-liter – 5-band automatic transmission.
Hilux is produced on Toyota factories in Thailand and South Africa.
