2018 Mini Cooper Convertible Owner's Manual

In the transformation from hatchback to convertible (which took engineers two years since the global debut of this generation of the model), the MINI Cooper S got its own suspension settings, a stiffer body, neatly integrated behind the seats a protection system that shoots out when the car rolls over. LED headlights and a projection display are included, and the multimedia system has expanded its functionality. This includes the MINI Connected App, which warns the driver when rain is approaching.

The key feature of the MINI Cooper S Convertible is, of course, the soft top. It is electrically operated and can be activated at speeds of up to 30 km/h. The entire procedure takes 18 seconds. However, the roof can also be partially folded. The volume of the trunk with a raised top is 215 liters, with a retracted one – 160 liters. This is 45 and 35 liters more than the previous-generation convertible, respectively.
