In the list of options Toyota Camry appeared illuminated space for driver and passengers, heated windshield, heated rear sofa, the system of blind spot monitoring and switching the light from low to high beam and back, as well as the ability to wirelessly charge your smartphone. There is also less silvered plastic among the trim materials, which looked not too attractive.

The main technical innovation restyling Toyota Camry was the debut of a 2-liter gasoline engine, producing 150 horsepower and 199 Nm of torque. Unlike its predecessor with a similar displacement, this one features combined fuel injection and a variable valve timing mechanism with which the engine is capable of running both on the Otto cycle and the Atkinson cycle. In addition, this unit is paired with a 6-speed automatic instead of a 4-speed, and accelerates the car from a place to 100 km/h in 10.4 seconds, consuming 7.2 liters of gasoline per 100 kilometers in the mixed cycle.
