In USA Toyota Yaris is offered with one of two petrol engines. The first, 1.0-liter three-cylinder, develops 69 horsepower and works together with a 5-speed manual transmission. The second engine, a 1.33-liter four, has 99 “horses” of capacity and can be combined with both 5-speed manual gearbox and an automatic. In some other markets Yaris is offered with 90 hp diesel engine and hybrid powertrain.

The Toyota Yaris is equipped with three fuel-efficient engines. The 3-cylinder 1,0-liter capacity petrol engine with 69 hp consumes on the average 4,8 liters per 100 km, and its colleague – 1,33-liter 4-cylinder unit with 99 hp – 5 liters on condition of usage of variator Multidrive S. As for the diesel engine, it produces 90 horsepower (205 Nm) at the volume of 1.4 liters, “eating” only 3.9 liters and lets Yaris accelerate to 100 km / h in 10.8 seconds. As an alternative to the variator transmission Toyota offers a 5-speed manual gearbox.
