The Terrain is built on a platform with McPherson struts in front and “multilever” in the back (in the all-wheel drive version the electromagnetic clutch connects the rear axle). The wheelbase length of the vehicle is 2857 mm and its overall length is 4705 mm. At the same time Terrain weighs 1723 kg.

The Terrain interior is designed for five passengers. For more convenience of rear passengers the sofa can be moved lengthways by 200 mm, and a powerful audio system with MP3 support is included in the basic package. The driver will be assisted by StabiliTrak, ABS, and other systems. For safety, in particular, are responsible six airbags, including side “curtains” that protect not only front but also rear passengers.
