Since 2003, the standard equipment includes StabiliTrak stability control system (combining ABS, traction control, etc.). It allows you to safely perform the most abrupt maneuvers. The full drive AutoTrac system of on-demand type allows you to change the power flow from 0 to 100% to each axle when slipping of its wheels. At the same time, the absence of the inter-axle differential does not allow you to drive on ordinary roads in full drive mode. The electronically controlled Autoride pneumatic system automatically maintains the body level above the road, which is especially relevant when towing a trailer.

Two V8 Vortec base engines are available for the Yukon: 4.8L/285hp. 400 Nm and 5.3 liter/295 hp. 447 Nm. For the most expensive version Yukon Denah is available an optional 6.0 liter engine with an output of 325 hp. 495 Nm. Power units are combined with a 4-speed automatic.
