2019 Lincoln Mkz Owner's Manual
The MKZ is based on the CD4 platform with McPherson struts in the front suspension and multilever design in the rear. The design is the same as that used in the above mentioned Mondeo. But it does not mean the running gear is just copied. The MKZ has different mounting points for subframes and arms, the elastokinematics, springs with other characteristics, there are electronically controlled shock absorbers.
The big changes during restyling of the Lincoln MKZ are in the engine lineup. A 2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with 245 hp has kept its place, as retained its 188-horsepower hybrid power plant with a 2.5-liter “four,” but the 3.7-liter V6 has remained in the past. Instead of it under a hood of a sedan began to establish 3-liter V6 GTDi in two variants of boosting – on 350 and 400 “horses” (in both cases 542 Nm of torque). Transmission, in its turn, has no alternative – 6-speed automatic.
