Unlike the first generation, this Qashqai was developed not in Japan, but in the European Nissan Design Center. That explains the striking differences in the appearance of the two generations of cars. Briefly, the crossover became more adult and serious. It is visible both on an interior where other materials of furnish are used, and on the equipment which became appreciably richer (the systems of help at parallel parking, tracking behind a driving strip, recognition of road signs, emergency braking, monitoring of blind zones, driver’s weariness, and also the advanced multimedia complex have been added). And in dimensions the crossover has increased, becoming 49 mm longer and 15 mm wider. Only the height has decreased by 20 mm, that, most likely, was made for the benefit of aerodynamics. And not for nothing, since the coefficient of drag of the car is now equal to 0.32.
