The Nissan Rogue is powered by a 2.5-liter gasoline engine that produces 170 horsepower. The power unit works in pair with a variator. Basically the car is offered with front-wheel drive only, but for extra charge it is possible to receive a branded All Mode 4x4i all-wheel drive. Moreover, the system is improved. It is controlled with a rotary switch, located on the central console.

You can select front drive and all-wheel drive modes Auto or Lock. In Auto mode, the system continuously monitors throttle, engine speed and torque to prevent wheels from spinning and distributes torque to the front and rear wheels according to driving conditions at speeds up to 80 km/h. Once this speed is exceeded, the system still responds to wheel slip by applying torque to the rear axle as necessary.
