But acceleration is not the only thing. Off-road performance is provided by a redesigned, stiffer frame and reinforced transfer case. The rear axle is Dana 60 (with a gear ratio of 3.55 and electronic differential lock). The suspension is also significantly upgraded. Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive shock absorbers with outrigger reservoirs are installed both front and rear.
The front arms are made of forged aluminum, and a five-lever design is installed at the rear. Thanks to the redesigned design, the suspension travel now reaches 330 mm (which is 40% more than the standard Ram 1500).
Other distinguishing features of the TRX are wider body (a difference of 150 mm compared with the 1500 Limited), 152 mm more track (both front and rear), ground clearance increased to 300 mm (which also contributed to the ability to ford up to 813 mm deep). Under the arch extenders are Goodyear Wrangler Territory 325/65 R18 tires with an outside diameter of 35 inches.
