2019 Toyota Highlander Owner's Manual

The Toyota Highlander of the third generation is based on a platform with McPherson struts in the front suspension. Previously the same were in the back, but now they have been replaced by double wishbones, which should positively affect the steerability of the car.
Under the hood of the third generation Highlander can be established an in-line four 2,7-liter “four” (185 hp, 249 Nm) or 3,5-liter V6 (270 hp, 337 Nm). Both engines are paired with a six-speed automatic transmission ECT-i. With the 2.7-liter engine will be available only in front-wheel drive, with the 3.5-liter unit is available both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, as an option to which you can order the system Dynamic Torque Control, which flexibly distributes the traction between the axles not only for better flotation, but also for more stability on the track.
