The basic package includes ABS, and as an option is available stability system, brake force distribution and brake booster.
The powertrain lineup of the Toyota Hilux Double Cab consists of two turbocharged diesel engines. The 2.5-liter 144 hp unit provides 343 Nm of torque and consumes 7.3 liters of fuel per 100 km in the combined cycle. The second engine, 3-liter, gives 171 hp. There are two gearboxes in Hilux: 2.5-liter engine has 5-speed manual and 3-liter – 5-band automatic transmission.
Production of Hilux is set up at Toyota plants in Thailand and South Africa.
