2019 Volkswagen T-Roc Owner's Manual

Volkswagen T-Roc Cabriolet (Volkswagen T-Roc Cabriolet) is a front-wheel drive crossover of the “K1” class. Modification with the body “convertible”, the first generation of the model. The crossover was officially unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2019.

“Image is at the head of the line,” is how the “standard” T-Roc crossover can be characterized. What, then, can we say about the Cabriolet version? We shall call it a cabriolet (and the only one in the whole range of models of the brand) with a claim to everyday practicality: the roof with electrohydraulic control can be folded in 9 seconds, unfolded – in 11 seconds. The function is available at speeds of up to 30 km/h – the system is fully automatic. The trunk offers 284 liters of volume (not too little, but not comparable to the T-Roc’s 445 liters ). Not to mention the high seating position and relatively high ground clearance. Nevertheless, even marketers of the brand openly call boarding formula “2+2”.

Due to the body’s type, it was necessary to make changes to the power design of the cabriolet T-Roc. To provide sufficient rigidity, the lower part of the body was reinforced, and the frame of the windshield became more rigid. In addition, if the crossover rolls over, the electronic system automatically shoots up the safety arc hidden behind the rear headrests. All these changes have affected the dimensions of the car: the wheelbase increased to 2630 mm (versus 2590 mm in the “simple” T-Rock), length also increased – 4268 mm (versus 4234 mm), height, on the contrary, decreased – 1522 mm versus 1573 mm.
