2020 Volkswagen Tiguan Owner's Manual

The Tiguan is based on the time-proven MQB modular platform, but with modernized and reconfigured suspensions. By default, the car is offered only with front-wheel drive, but optionally it can be completed with a 4MOTION all-wheel drive system with fifth-generation Haldex clutch, additional 11 mm of ground clearance (200 mm in total) and increased from 18.3 to 25.6 degrees angle of approach. At the same time, the car can tow a trailer weighing up to 2.5 tons, and is equipped with all the latest safety and driver assistance systems, including frontal collision warning system with automatic braking at city speeds, lane-keeping system and more.

There are eight turbocharged petrol and diesel engines in the Volkswagen Tiguan engine range. All comply with Euro-6 environmental standards and provide up to 24% fuel economy compared to the previous version. The four gasoline engines are TSI with 12, 150, 180 and 220 hp and the four diesel engines are TDI with 115, 150, 190 and 240 hp. The transmissions are offered both manual and robotized with two clutches (depending on the engine and configuration).
