As part of an extensive mid-cycle update of its most powerful pickups, Ford has redesigned the exterior, added more infotainment and safety technology inside, and upgraded and expanded its engine lineup.
The all-new 7.3-liter V8 gasoline engine sits between the base 6.2-liter V8 gasser and the more powerful 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 turbodiesel. There are now two transmission options: a six-speed automatic from Super Duty from 2017 to 2019 and a new ten-speed automatic. After being absent from the F-Series since the 2014 model year, the Tremor returns as the definitive off-road package, available on the gasoline (7.3-liter only) and diesel versions of the F-250 and F-350.
