For the 2003 model year, the Yukon underwent some changes. The exterior was decorated with large segmented block headlights combined with a plastic grille, and the top version of the Yukon Denali received a chrome fine mesh grille and bumpers with a different shape. The cabin meets a huge dashboard and massive seats upholstered in leather (Yukon SLT version). The more expensive versions are equipped with multi-position seats (up to 10 adjustments), and the second row can be ordered with split seats. The optional three-seat third row of seats can be folded down in a 50:50 ratio.

As for safety systems, except for a child seat, there are “intelligent” front airbags, which determine the extent of their expansion depending on the size of the front passenger (if he is small – they do not work), as well as the force of the collision – in a collision at low speed they do not open. The deformation zones are put in the design of supporting frame that allows it to absorb energy much more effectively during collision, thus the body-frame system became stiffer by 64%.
