2021 Kia Sorento Owner's Manual

Sorento of this generation is equipped with more advanced electronic systems: there is automatic parking (with activation through the key), and adaptive cruise control, working in tandem with navigation and able to drive in traffic jams (even after a complete stop), and lane keeping, not to mention the monitoring of blind spots. With the help of an application on your smartphone, you can now play images from the round-view cameras, as well as open the car itself.
The crossover comes to different markets with different powertrains. Thus, for the first time became available for Sorento “soft” hybrid that combines the work of a 1.6-liter gasoline engine T-GDI (with a return of 180 forces and 265 Nm), 60-horsepower electric motor (built into a six-speed “automatic”) and a battery capacity of 1.49 kWh. The powertrain has a peak output of 230 hp and 350 Nm of torque. The diesel engine in the range is a 2.2-liter unit in the Smartstream family, producing 202 horsepower and 440 Nm of torque. It comes with an eight-speed robot with two wet clutches. Also available is the 2.5-liter T-GDI petrol engine with 281 hp and 421 Nm of torque. All-wheel drive is available as an option through a clutch that connects the rear axle.
