Under the hood of the Volkswagen T-Roc R is the 2-liter turbo four EA888, familiar to us from another “hot” WAG – the Golf R. Here is the same 300 hp and 400 Nm of torque. Transmission has only seven-speed 7-DSG (DQ-381) and a full drive with a clutch to connect the rear axle.

Ramp 0-100 “Erka” is able to overcome in 4.8 seconds. Maximum speed – 250 km/h (limited by electronics).

With this crossover has more powerful brakes, sports suspension with lowered to 20 mm clearance, launch control and fully disable ESP by default. The options include adaptive shock absorbers and titanium Akrapovic exhaust system.

The interior of the T-Rock is not as bright as the exterior. And even the inserts, repeating color of a body, do not help to get rid of this sensation. In fact, the interior almost exactly repeats Tiguan’s interior design, except that the whole console is turned more to a driver, the control block of a multimedia system is changed a little bit and a puck of an all-wheel drive control is on a new place. Though it would be more correct to tell that the interior is as well as in all Volkswagen – convenient and thought over in details. The stitching on seats in color of inserts is really new.

The crossover is offered in three configurations: T-Roc, Style, and Sport, and the difference between the first and the third makes more than ten thousand euros. It is not surprising, considering how many additional options it is possible to receive for an extra payment: panoramic roof, climate control, blind spot monitoring system, parking assistance system, adaptive cruise control, heating of seats of front and back row, electric drive of front seats and a trunk, different types of interior trimming. In addition, the multimedia system can have a screen ranging from 6.5 to 8 inches (of course, support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Internet access), and the instrument panel can be virtual Active Info Display).
