The interior has very essential changes. Instead of ornate lines and shiny elements – simple and restrained forms. A 10-inch (already in basic configuration) touchscreen multimedia display rises above the dashboard, most of the other hard-buttons are collected either under it, or in a block near the gearbox selector. The desire to create a more sporty look is indicated by classical scales with arrows dropped vertically downwards.

Although the base 2.0-liter turbo engine, despite the more dynamic image of the car, has less performance than the unit of the same volume in the previous generation. It’s all about different engine families: the CTS had the LTG motor that produces 272 hp and 400 Nm (from 1,700 rpm). The same generation has the LSY engine (with twin-scroll turbine) with Active Fuel Management and Start-Stop system, and although it is less powerful, but it is more economical: 241 hp and 350 Nm (already from 1500 rpm).
