The Ford Edge is a K1 SUV with front- or all-wheel drive. In 2020, the second generation of the model underwent a slight facelift.

Updates to the Edge can hardly be called significant. Some minor visual elements have undergone changes. Nevertheless, there is a lot to talk about. About expanding range of options, for example. The car received technology of adaptive control which continuously monitors conditions and style of driving, adjusting algorithm of “steering wheel” operation: reduces or increases force, makes the steering wheel sharper or, opposite, “blurs” reactions a little. The updated Edge has also the system of active noise suppression.

Edge is built on a common platform with Mondeo, but Ford engineers have upgraded it. And together with the “bogie” finalized the body, which gained 16 percent in torsional stiffness and 26 percent in bending stiffness. Depending on the version, the car may be equipped with inflatable safety belts (both front and rear), heated and ventilated seats, multimedia system SYNC 3 with 8-inch screen, MyFord Touch support and a number of other functions, 180-degree camera angle and more.
