2022 Ford Escape (Kuga) Owner's Manual
Ford Escape (Ford Escape) – compact SUV of “K1” class. Restyling of the third generation of the Escape model. The world premiere of the model took place in November 2015 at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
In the U.S. market, the Ford Escape has a strong place as one of the sales leaders (in 2016 – the second after the Honda CR-V) in the class. Therefore, it is no wonder that designers continue to exploit the already customer-favorite image of the medium-sized SUV (that is, we still have the third generation of the model, presented in 2011, but with a number of restyling), making minimal changes to it.
The win-win option would be to leave the overall impression the same, but to make the car more status. Fords have found such decision, having united the tendency to unification of design with desire of people to have more for the same money. Now the Ford Escape has a grille which reminds the same part of the “older” model – Ford Edge: the hexagonal grille has increased in size and became contrasting because of the presence of chrome. Together with the headlamps have changed and fog lights, which are now located vertically instead of horizontally on the previous model (a recess for them, too, is made in the form of a hexagon). The lower section of the front bumper of the Ford Escape now has a large area painted silver. Together with the grille, this creates a more organic impression compared to the past design of the model. The bumpers on the hood have a new location: they are now closer to the edges of the hood.
