GMC Savana Cargo is a van with front or all-wheel drive, which is the twin brother of the Chevrolet Express. The debut of the first generation of the model took place in 1996, and in 2003 began production of the second generation.

The second-generation Savannah Cargo was built on the GMT601 platform with an independent front suspension and continuous axle with leaf springs at the rear. The van comes in several versions with different lengths of wheelbase. The standard one is 2429 mm, and the lengthened one is 3937 mm. The overall length of the vehicle depends on this. In the first case, it is 5692 mm, in the second – 6200 mm. Width of the Savana is 2017 mm, height – 2073-2083 mm.

GMC Savana Cargo is produced at General Motors plant in the U.S. state of Missouri. In some European countries the car is used as an ambulance, and in Amsterdam – for the needs of police officers.
