Toyota Mirai is an E-class hydrogen sedan. The production version of the model was first shown in Japan in 2014, and a year later the European modification made its debut. The car made its world debut in the fall of 2014 at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

The history of the Mirai began long before the first production copies of the car were born. Toyota engineers worked on fuel cells not only for cars, but also for buses, trucks, and even cottages, working hard to make hydrogen electrochemical cells mass-produced. And so, when it became possible, in 2011 the Japanese presented the concept FCV-R, and two years later they forged another prototype – the FCV, which, as it turned out later, was very close to the final version of the hydrogen sedan, which inherited not only technology, but also design.
