On the European market, the car is offered with two engines – gasoline and diesel. The first is a 1.8-liter TSI with 180 hp and 280 Nm of torque (acceleration – 7.8 seconds to the first “hundred”). The second is 2.0-liter TDI with two variants of forcing: 150 hp and 340 Nm or 184 hp and 380 Nm (the car gets “hundred” for the same 7.8 seconds in the second variant). A 6-speed DSG “robot” works together with the petrol motor, with a weaker diesel engine – 6-speed “mechanics” or 7-speed “robot”, with more productive – only a 7-speed “robot”.

Interior design of Golf Altrek is almost completely identical to the interior of the standard Golf: behind the steering wheel – two classic wells with speedometer and tachometer, in the central panel, slightly turned to the driver, the standard unit of multimedia system with a 6.5-inch display, below located climate control and heating unit. The difference is in pads on the pedals and an inset on the front panel, and also inscriptions Alltrack on optional seats. As for a practical boot, the car doesn’t concede a standard station wagon: 605 liters of space behind the rear row and 1620 with a folded back sofa, there is also a hatch to carry long objects.

The car can be equipped with a number of electronic assistants (adaptive cruise control with auto brake function, pedestrian detection, monitoring for markings and blind spots, road sign detection, parking assistant), LED headlights with dynamic control, 12.3-inch dashboard with a choice of menu output, multimedia system Discover Pro with 9. 2-inch touchscreen display without physical buttons, smartphone connectivity (Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Mirror Link), Internet access and navigation, wireless charging, keyless entry system, rearview camera, split climate control, electric front seats and heated seats and steering wheel, panoramic sunroof, 18-inch wheels.
