2023 GMC Sierra Denali Owner's Manual

The GMC Sierra is a full-size “K4” class pickup truck with rear or all-wheel drive. The fifth generation of the model debuted in March 2018.

For the release of the fifth-generation Sierra, GMC took a special approach. First, the car, for the first time in a long time, appeared two months later than its Chevrolet Silverado twin brother. Second, the pickups have never differed so much from each other externally.

The Sierra got its own design. In addition to dramatically changed front part: the shape of a massive grille, sharp claws of a bird of prey optics, bumper and hood – the truck got another design of doors, fenders, and rear side of the body.

The engine lineup is already well known from the pickup with the cross-shaped logo. This is a turbocharged four-cylinder 2.7 (314 hp 473 Nm) and two upgraded V8 autospheric 5.3 (316 hp 519 Nm) and 6.2-liter (426 hp 621 Nm) with Dynamic Fuel Management system, which has 17 cylinder circuits and can stop or resume the oil flow to the hydraulic valve lifters as the load increases. The 4.3-liter and 5.3-liter “half cylinder cutoff” engines remain in service. Depending on the choice of power plant, the truck can be equipped with three automatic transmissions with 6, 8 or 10 speeds.
