2023 Kia K5 Owner's Manual

Kia K5 (Kia K5) is a front- or all-wheel-drive Class “D” sedan. The fifth generation of the model. It premiered on December 17, 2019, although sales in the home market began back in November. In some markets, the car is also known as the Optima.
The fifth generation of the model demonstrated a revolutionary (relative to changes in previous generations) approach to the appearance of the sedan. The previous generation can be guessed only in the general features of the “tiger nose” style radiator grille. But sharper lines of sectional optics with sprawling zigzag headlights, hood edge, hovering over the grille, and the front bumper with a deep relief and lots of edges indicate a completely different approach to external design (which, by the way, should be adopted by other models of the brand).
The car’s profile became sportier, thanks not only to a swollen rear window, which allows you to say that we are – fastback, but also “optimized” dimensions: K5 length increased by 50 mm (4905 mm), wheelbase grew by 45 mm (2850 mm) and height decreased by 20 mm (1445 mm). And already increased width of the body (by 25 mm, 1860 mm) is emphasized by rear lights, combined with LED headlights. And the rear bumper has a lot of different elements: there are “air ducts” and reflectors, and a silver diffuser. The car is available with 16-18 size wheels, and in GT versions – 19-inch.
The interior has also undergone significant changes. It is necessary to highlight the changed architecture of the front panel (now with only a slight turn towards the driver) and the central tunnel with the “line of delimitation” zones of the driver and front passenger, where is located the puck automatic transmission instead of the lever. Instead of the dashboard now is a 12.3-inch screen, and the touchscreen multimedia display, previously built into the panel, is now located in a separate unit. It is worth noting that the rear passenger can increase the amount of legroom by using the electric drive with buttons located on the end of the front passenger seat.
