The KIA Telluride is a 7- or 8-seat “K2” class SUV with either front- or all-wheel drive. The car made its debut at the Detroit Auto Show in January 2019.

Even before the official premiere, the manufacturer was pushing the idea that the new Telluride is a brutal “SUV” from KIA for real travelers. Otherwise why was it necessary to show a large crossover in the version with a powerful kangaroo, a winch, a snorkel, protective wheel arch extenders and very “evil” off-road tires.

The given philosophy is traced in design. The crossover has lost its glamorous chrome – its image has become more strict and conservative and something even reminiscent of the Escalade in the third generation. In spite of the hierarchical ladder, Telluride has surpassed in dimensions its congener in the concern (Hyundai Palisade): it is longer – 5001 / 4980 mm and wider – 1989 / 1975 mm, but the height (1750 mm) and wheelbase (2900 mm) they have identical. Naturally, such an increase has had a positive impact on the trunk, which became roomier by as much as 80 liters (595) behind the third row and by 5 (1310) when it is folded.

The interior of Telluride looks “manly”: a massive automatic lever and thick handles on the sides of the central console reminiscent of the Porsche Cayenne and the new Mercedes GLE. The general design without pretensions to luxury – though everything looks stylish and with taste. But the list of equipment here is like a real premium: fully LED headlights, projection display, keyless access with the start button, six USB connectors (two on each row), Bluetooth for two devices, heated steering wheel, ventilation front seats, rear speaker shutoff, a microphone to communicate with the third row, 360 cameras and audio system Harman/Kardon to 10 speakers.
