The 2023 Volkswagen ID.3 is an electric compact hatchback with rear-wheel drive and is a first-generation representative. The car belongs to the “C” class and to the category of affordable electric cars. This is the first model that is produced on the MEB platform, and is a kind of heir to the Golf and Beetle.
The car is equipped with a flat battery, electric motor, and single-speed transmission. The front part of the hatch is occupied by a steering rack and an air conditioning compressor. The engine produces up to 204 hp.
The exterior is recognizable due to the absence of the traditional radiator grille. The headlights are accentuated with diode bezels. The headlights are connected by a thin horizontal line of illumination. Short overhangs, as well as an impressive wheelbase add dynamism to the overall appearance.
