Ford Flex Owner's Manuals
The first Ford Flex was released in 2005, when it was shown at the International Auto Show in New York. Only three years later sales of the full-size crossover began. The Edge and Linkoln platforms were taken as the basis. Its feature was a two-tone body, which has a slightly cubic shape. The first model got big wheels and lots of chrome inserts. Its sales market is America and Canada.
From the factory, the Flex has 7 seats, with the possibility of various transformations for different purposes. The rear doors are hinged, designed for better visibility from the interior. This is how the vehicle resembles a minivan. It also has an independent rear suspension and traction control system. The car drives both all-wheel drive and front-wheel drive.
Until 2013, the car was equipped with a 3.5 engine with 6 cylinders and automatic transmission with 6 gears. The advantage is the drive system, which transmits 100% power to all axles. Its towing capacity is rated at 2040 kilograms.
Since the introduction of the Ford Flex, it has only been available in three packages. But even the base set has good performance. The SE series has front-wheel drive with a 3.5-liter engine and an automatic transmission. The interior has a CD player and six speakers. The seats are cloth-based, aluminum panel inserts. You can use the keyless entry system, all doors have power windows. There is air conditioning for comfort and 6 airbags for safety.
Models after 2011, are equipped with better performance. The quality Titanium interior is available as an option. It is designed for Limited versions. Its headlights and taillights are tinted. Interior color consists of 4 colors: silver shades, red, black and white interior trim. The exterior design is strongly distinguished by various highlights in the form of painted door handles, lots of chrome overlays, black pillars, white roof and main body paint.
