Kia Optima Owner's Manuals
The Kia Optima is a luxury car that has gone through four generations and several restyling throughout its history. The latest models, starting from 2010 until today, have completely changed the attitude, and these models are in high demand. The new model has gotten a sporty look and the same engine. The main engines for the base version are 2-liter 150-horsepower engines paired with a 6-speed automatic. For the European markets the manufacturers are installing a turbocharged 1.7-liter and 2.0-liter diesel.
The body size has increased significantly compared to its predecessors, and the interior has been upgraded. The large dashboard has the necessary, but simple functions. There is a touchscreen display with a navigator and connection to the rear view camera, which is connected to the parking system. The gear knob is designed in a standard style, the controls and buttons do not have touch controls. The multimedia steering wheel has gained a lot of functions, except for music control, which the competitors can’t boast.
The last fourth generation is designed for the American and European market, and this model has become the Optima reference. It has added a half-roof sunroof, the auto is getting prettier – the front end has tapered headlights and an overall tiger smile. A hybrid setup is now available, adaptive suspension on electronics, and a 7-speed automatic transmission is already installed in the base package. Also Kia Optima is now available as a wagon, and the car has become even more spacious without losing its exclusive style. The interior has also been updated, but there is still the same zest – a central console turned to the driver with climate settings and a large display.
