Mazda MX-5 Owner's Manuals

In a world of increasingly sophisticated sports cars, the illuminating and simple Mazda MX-5 Miata is proof that you don’t need ah so fast technology to have a great time. It’s not perfect and presents a number of blatant compromises when it comes to everyday use, but that’s not why you’re buying the Miata. In the pantheon of sports cars, the Miata delivers the thrills and joys that every keen driver looks for, and that’s why it’s so loved.
In the decades since the original Mazda MX-5 Miata revived the notion of a clean, affordable two-seat sports car with a convertible roof, many automakers have tried to replicate its success. But they’ve all largely given up, and the Miata is still the preferred choice after four generations and more than 30 years of near-continuous production.
The 2022 Miata gets another engineering refinement that enhances driving pleasure in the form of Kinematic Posture Control (KPC). As developers describe it, KPC is a brake-based technology that can reduce body roll, improve steering response and improve the efficiency of the car’s available high-friction differential. Simply put, when cornering at high speeds, the KPC slightly brakes the car’s inner rear wheel to reset the car on that corner.
