Christopher Ritz, chief designer of Nissan’s European Design Studio, called the new Micra “a friendly car that combines compactness and volume,” which at the same time demonstrates a symbiosis of the latest in automotive technology. According to Shiro Nakamura, Nissan’s Senior Vice President of Design, the car is similar in form to its predecessor: “as broad-shouldered and with the same distinctive lines, although made in a unique style.

The front and rear bumpers’ curves are joined by a broad side line with a ripple effect running the length of the car. Shorter by 30 mm, the new Nissan Micra is wider and taller than the previous model, while its wheelbase has increased by 70 mm. This, on the one hand, provides a more comfortable driving position, on the other hand, gives a sense of greater comfort and space inside the car.
