As for the Jetta’s running gear, it remains the same. In fact, it was not even rebuilt. But the level of equipment of the sedan has been improved. Now it has systems available that were not offered for this model before. But, as before, to feel the full pleasure of innovation, will have to splurge on expensive versions, since Jetta, as well as other models of Volkswagen, is not too rich in basic equipment.

Volkswagen Jetta has an extensive power unit lineup that includes 2-liter turbocharged diesel engines producing 110 and 150 horsepower, and three petrol engines – 1.2-liter 105 horsepower and 1.4-liter 125 and 150 horsepower. There are 9 gearboxes in the arsenal (depending on the engine) – 5- and 6-speed manual, and also 6- and 7-speed preselective “robots” DSG. The most economical of all units offered for sedan is a 2-liter turbodiesel with 110 hp. In the combined cycle it requires only 4 liters of fuel to cover 100 kilometers.
