2004 Cadillac Escalade Owner's Manual

The main feature of Escalade EXT design is an original body-transformer with a plastic top, which is ideally suited for transportation of sports equipment. The lid is electrically operated, so the process is as automated as possible.

The Escalade EXT’s dependent rear suspension uses Nivomat-type shock absorbers with automatic body height leveling when loaded. Standard equipment includes a tire pressure monitoring system, XM Satellite digital radio (works only in the U.S.) and towing equipment.

In 2002, the car was completely redesigned. Design features: load-bearing spar frame with the engine, transmission and suspensions mounted on it, the steel body, independent front suspension on torsions and rigid rear axle with a system of levers, compensating the longitudinal and transverse roll, but for Cadillac Escalade air suspension rear, which improves ride smoothness is provided.
